• About the author: Born on 24th Mach 1950 in Old Windsor Hospital. Brought up in Ascot Berkshire and in 1967 joined the Merchant Navy as a Navigating Apprentice. W0rked on BP Shipping tankers until made redundant in February 1983. During my time at sea, I worked on 25 different tankers, 28 times. I visited 143 ports 402 times carrying about 158 cargoes travelling 573482 sea miles. After this I worked in the Civil Service until I was nearly 60 at the end of 2009. I started writing 2 years later after a brief writing course at Southport College. Wrote and self-published two novels, Nullarbor Chase and Sahara Diamond’s on Kindle Direct Publishing. In 2018 when I was told I had Parkinsons’ I started writing more and more poetry. ‘Santa,’ was published in the Writing Magazine.
