Martin Challender Bolton, UK

Martin is from Smithills, Bolton. Aside from being a lifelong Bolton Wanderers supporter, his passions include social history, social care and social justice. He has been interested poetry for several years but started to write more during the first covid lockdown of 2020.

In 2021 his poem “Two Returns For Manchester”, was published in Poetry from the Platform, an anthology published by Bolton Station Community Partnership. Martin’s poem (along with the work of other writers) was featured in a short film recorded at Trinity Street Station in 2022. The film is due to be shown at Bolton Film Festival in October 2023.

In 2022 Martin’s poem, “Love On The 501”, featured in Love from Worktown, an anthology published by Live from Worktown.
